About the Speakers:

Victor Shelden is the System Engineering Manager, Zero Emissions Fleet Transformation for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA). In this role, he works toward the MTA's goal of achieving a 100% zero-emissions bus and non-revenue vehicle fleet by 2040.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is North America's largest transportation network, serving the New York City metropolitan area, Long Island, southeastern New York State, and Connecticut. Its subsidiary, MTA New York City Transit (NYCT), is responsible for operating the extensive subway system, the largest in the nation, as well as a large network of buses across the city.

John Catuogno, P.E., is a former Director of Utility Business Strategy and Innovation at Con Edison with a background in engineering and energy management. During his tenure, he played a key role in developing and implementing clean energy technologies, forecasting future energy needs, and discussing energy trends.

Con Edison, officially Consolidated Edison, Inc., is one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the United States, with a history spanning over 200 years. As a holding company, it provides energy-related products and services to customers in New York and New Jersey through several subsidiaries. The company is actively transitioning toward a net-zero economy by 2050 and investing heavily in new infrastructure and clean energy technologies.
