As Clacky As It Gets! HMX Yogurt V2 Linear Switches

Some out of this world clack offered by these right here XLLAB and HMX have been releasing some absolute bangers in my opinion. The HMX Yogurt V2's differ with the new mold on the top housing to improve overall smoothness with the typing experience. Let's break things down a bit more!

The cost is right on par with what we're typically used to seeing around here with each pack costing $3.50 for 10 switches. With how clacky and how consistent these are. These are a must have when considering their price to performance. Honestly one of the best switches I've tried from HMX recently when only considering Clack and a higher pitch.

The feel of these switches are much like other HMX switches with a tight tolerance, with the bottom out feeling nice and crisp. The new molds for the top housing may definitely enhance the smoothness of the typing experience, allowing for each stroke to feel similar to the next. The factory lubing on the leaf springs, stem feet, and housing rails felt extremely precise without any over-lubing or lube pooling.

The sound of these switches are definitely S tier. These fall under the higher pitch and louder/fuller sounds. The P5 bottom housing with the modified nylon and added fiberglass is a huge contributing factor from this. From my experience fiberglass has a way of adding a full and clacky sound compared to other switches that don't have it within. I don't hear any spring pinging or leaf ticking from what i can hear, just some loud birds chirping away in the back round.

In conclusion, these switches are indeed a MUST have. They're sold out and for good reasons. The new top housing mold truly does give some extremely smooth typing, while the modified nylon with the added fiber glass gives these switches that UMPH we look for in a top tier clacker. The price being right on par with most of HMX's other lineup makes these a no brainer decision!
