Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) is the leading interoperability standard used for care transitions. In the United States (US), it is used billions of times annually. The C-CDA standard has been in wide use since 2011 and aligns US document information exchange to data expectations from US Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI). It is built on one of the three product families of Health Level Seven (HL7) known as Clinical Document Architecture.
