Описание: This lecture is about a variety of English which is spoken and written in Pakistan and which I have called Pakistani English (PE) following the usage of Baumgardner before me. I give an introduction to the concept of varieties of English and then describe the phonetic, lexical and some grammatical features which distinguish this variety from British Standard English. The lecture is very basic and can be understood by those who have no previous knowledge of linguistics.
