The Westin Cozumel Family Vacation 2026 (See Description)

Описание: We had an overnight stop in Cozumel during our sailing on the Regal Princess and decided to get off the ship and spend the night on land. We wanted space — cruise staterooms get tight fast.

Our first choice, Cozumel Dreams Resort, was sold out. So we pivoted and used Marriott points at the The Westin Cozumel. Cash rate for New Year’s Eve was over $500 per night.

Check-in:
Arrived around noon. Room wasn’t ready until 4:00 PM. Not ideal, especially for a one-night stay.

Location:
Beautiful. Easy 9/10. Incredible ocean views. The room itself was very nice and the balcony view is great.

Room issues:
Strong sewer odor coming from the shower. TV programming was extremely limited.

All-Inclusive Option:
We added it. I don’t recommend it.
Food was honestly disappointing — 3/10. Breakfast was the best meal, and that’s not saying much. Rice was inedible. If you’re booking this property for a culinary experience, don’t. This is not that.

Beach & Pool:
They sell a large number of day passes, which meant no lounge chairs available at the pool or beach. That’s a problem. I did not see a hot tub.
The beach is very rocky — think coral reef under your feet. Bring swim shoes.
Watersports were shut down due to strong winds and waves, which obviously isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it impacted the experience.

Kids Club:
Surprisingly solid. The kids enjoyed it.

Surroundings:
Not many nearby food options. Not much shopping within walking distance. It feels somewhat isolated.

Final Take:
If the food had been better, this could have been a solid 7/10. But between the odor issue, food quality, and lack of available seating due to day passes, I have to rate it a 5/10.

The videos online made it look stronger than it performed in real life. For us, this is likely a one-and-done stay.
