Oddities is a Work-in-progress collection of peculiar video games, made by myself, using Gamemaker Studio. I'll eventually publish, but in the meantime, I'll be posting gameplay footage and devlogs, for fun and posterity. No relation to the Mother Fangame or David Bowie song.
SKYRISE is the first and as-of-yet most finished project. Players assemble a tower out of various buildings, and collect cash to advance upwards, crushing things to clear space, and unlocking new, (increasingly volatile) buildings the higher they go. In this video, I demonstrate a couple new assets and pieces, as well as the new, more stress-inducing game over sequence.
...The game's music is still a work in progress. For now I'm testing the audio system with some albums from my library- the title ambience is from Machinarium, by Floex; and Skyrise's tracks are from Windows96's latest album. Links to their music below!
