This video is an introduction to a TouchDesigner Beginner Crash Course led by Faith , an experienced TouchDesigner developer . The course aims to provide a comprehensive starting point for beginners , covering all major operators including CHOPs, TOPs, SOPs, MATs, DATs, and COMPs .
Upon completion, participants will engage in seven project video builds to apply their foundational skills . These projects will involve creating generative audio-reactive visuals, Kinect-based content, frame delays, video trails, and reactive particle systems .
The course also covers:
Fundamentals of the TouchDesigner paradigm, including node-based programming logic and workflows.
All six operator families with example projects for each (CHOPs, TOPs, SOPs, DATs, MATs, COMPs).
Real-time generative graphics basics, from dynamic noise data to audio-responsive 3D geometry.
A simple, day-1 preset system for beginners.
Time-saving keyboard shortcuts and application tricks.
