The Texas Railroad Commissioner regulates the:
oil and natural gas industry - including fracking
pipelines
hazardous liquids
natural gas utilities
coal and uranium surface mining operations.
also, the Commissioner enforces the numerous federal laws related to environmental protection including clean air, clean water and hazardous waste.
The oil and gas industry is very important in Texas so make sure you vote in the primaries and general election!
