Segmented Bowl 1, Part 1: A New Bottom.

Описание: In this video, I come back to a segmented bowl project I started about 2 years ago. I broke through the bottom while turning it the first time, and gave up. Today, I clean up the bottom, put a new piece of wood there as a base, and shape it so I can finish the inside and outside (that will be in Part 2).

This video is a little longer than I wanted it to be. I am trying to work on my editing to give the full experience, but keep the video about 10 minutes long.

As for the wood, I know most of it is Maple. The rest of the segments are Rosewood (lighter red) and Padauk (darker red). I am 95.691% sure the new bottom is Sapele.

I plan to make a bunch more segmented bowls, and show my technique for making segments. This is the first video in hopefully a segmented bowl series.
