Описание: Following the sinking of the fishing trawler ‘MV Sceptre’ at the busy fishing port of Union Hall, Cork County Council immediately deployed oil containment booms around the wreck which prevented pollution. A specialised crane barge, Lara 1, made its way to Union Hall where the Contractor, divers and Council staff prepared for the lifting of the wreck. The wreck was lifted on to the barge and then transported to an overseas licensed facility to be disposed of in line with environmental requirements.
