In this series, I’m taking the classic hot dog🌭 and flipping it on its head — grilling, stuffing, wrapping, and transforming it into outrageous recipes you’ve never seen before. In this next episode, straight out of a dream — I make a creamy, smoky, cheesy, and fiery all in one hot dog, with an insane bite.
🔥 Inferno Mac Dog Recipe 🔥
🌭 Ingredients (makes 4 dogs):
For the dogs:
4 all-beef hot dogs
4 slices of thick-cut bacon
4 hot dog brioche buns
Mayo for toasting
For the mac & cheese:
1 cup elbow macaroni (uncooked)
1 tbs butter
1 tbs flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded havarti cheese
Dash of smoked paprika
Salt & black pepper to taste
For topping:
Crushed Flamin’ Hot Cheetos
🔥 Spicy Mayo drizzle
Ingredients:
½ cup mayo
1½ tbs sriracha
1 tsp lime juice
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, sriracha, lime juice, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
Taste and adjust — add more sriracha for heat or more lime for tang.
Chill for 10–15 minutes before serving for best flavor.
🔥 Instructions:
Make the Mac & Cheese:
Boil the macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a small pan, melt butter, whisk in flour, and cook for 30 seconds on medium heat.
Slowly whisk in milk until thickened.
Turn off the heat and stir in cheddar and havarti until smooth and creamy.
Season with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Add in the cooked pasta and stir until completely combined.
Grill the Bacon-Wrapped Dogs:
Wrap each hot dog in a slice of bacon.
Grill or griddle on medium heat, turning until bacon is crispy and the dog is heated through (about 6–8 minutes).
Let them rest briefly to stay crispy.
Toast the Buns:
Spread on mayo to the buns and toast them cut-side down on the griddle until golden brown.
Assemble the Inferno Mac Dog:
Place your bacon dog in the toasted bun.
Pile on a generous scoop of smoky mac & cheese.
Top with crushed Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
Drizzle spicy mayo over the top.
Optional: Add jalapeños for extra heat.
