We picked up this old 1990 Apollo Sea Eagle hull for just $500 and brought it back to life using parts from a $1,500 donor boat that had a completely shot transom. Over just three days, we rebuilt, wired, and rigged it with a 1978 Evinrude 115hp V4 — an absolute classic two-stroke beast.
This video shows the first sea trial, where we finally got to see if our budget build would actually float, plane, and run. None of us are mechanics, but we made it happen — and it turned out way better than we expected. A proper bargain boat build that proves you don’t need big money to have big fun on the water!
