Beginner/Intermediate yoga pose. Garland Pose is a wonderful stretch for the ankles, hips, groin and lower back. If it is challenging to keep your heels on the floor, you are welcome to use a folded towel under the heels. If you are experiencing pain/discomfort beyond a good stretch in the knees or lower back, this may not be the best pose for you. An option would be to sit on the edge of a chair and open the knees out to the sides and lean forward as much as feels good to the lower back. Listen to your body and honor what it's telling you!
