The broker is going to reclassify her as unclaimed biological property, which means the processing hold. Dael buys her contract before he knows why. Her name is Vael. She hasn't spoken in four months. She carries a stone tile her mother carved — the Ashveil stonekeeper tradition. The tile has scratch marks on the back. One for every day since the colony burned.
