This video is Challenge Mode where the birds in the video are not identified for you. This Virtual Birding mode is perfect for all birding skill levels, allowing the most experienced birders show off their bird ID prowess and providing a way to practice for those who are beginners. If you don’t know any birds by sight or sound, see if you can find the target bird (if I am able to find it myself)!

If you prefer to have the birds identified for you, there are two other Virtual Birding modes that might interest you: In Casual Mode you can relax as you listen to the sounds of nature while the birds are identified for you onscreen. In Narrated Mode, we chat as we look for birds; discussing birds, birding, and the location that we are walking. Both of these modes come out one week after challenge mode.
