Things were going too fast - Jill had texted me on Sunday to say that planting was maybe a bit more instant than expected, and they were going to be done moving the hedges into their new home well before Wednesday, when they planned to be finishing up. I was racing to get equipment packed up at 4AM for the 4 hour trip up to Washington, but I'll be honest, I was having a bit of trouble being excited because I was a little nervous and packing so quickly made me feel scatterbrained. Coffee to the rescue. Beautiful views of the Skagit Valley helped. We really did arrive just at the perfect time, because by the afternoon the Floret team had already dug the trenches and was finishing up installing these Instant Hedges into some beautiful new gardens, this allowed me to get some awesome looking timelapses of the best part, dropping the boxes in. I had fun filming their methods - It might be worth your time to see their innovative excavator/forklift mutant gracefully toss these hedges into the ground in record time.
