CJ explains how she connected with her indie publisher Space Wizard Science Fantasy after joining an online writing community and contributing to an anthology.

She emphasizes the importance of finding a group to get feedback and support, even for introverted writers.

About CJ:

CJ grew up in Southern California loving fantasy and science fiction. Her debut novel, The Slayer’s Magic is her first book in The Beads of Bone series and was published earlier this year.

She has a Masters Degree in Public History from Southern New Hampshire University, and if she’s not writing you can generally find her quilting, costuming, or travelling to spend time with those she loves. She’s a wannabe dress historian, and has worked with museums on historical dress recreation.

Adopted at eight months old, she recently found her birth parents and has incorporated these experiences into her fiction.

She is married to her husband of thirty-plus years, has four children, and an ever-growing number of grandchildren.
