I performed a live honey bee removal from a roof in Rancho Cucamonga where this hive had two completely different sections — one newer with fresh, soft white honeycomb and another older, heavily established section packed with honey and brood.
As I opened the roof, the comb was coming up tough. Once I started pulling it out, you could clearly see the difference between the new comb and the aged comb loaded with brood and capped honey. One entire half of the hive was already transferred into the relocation box, but this second half was massive — thick honeycomb, tons of brood, and bees clustering everywhere.
I carefully removed the brood comb and secured it inside the bee box so the colony could survive and relocate safely. There was still a giant section of honey remaining in the cavity that needed to be cleaned out to prevent future structural damage and re-infestation.
The box will remain onsite for 5–10 days to allow the remaining honey bees to naturally move in and protect the queen.
If you’re in Rancho Cucamonga or anywhere in Southern California and need live bee removal from a roof, wall, or attic, I specialize in safe honey bee relocation — no pesticides.
