Hand Embrodiery on Canvas— Geisha Portrait

Описание: Hi everyone, this is Winnie. New update of this week: Embroidery on a large canvas! One day, looking at this paint by numbers kit, and suddenly I have this crazy idea to embroider on it, so I don’t need to draw a pattern, as there is already all the numbers marked on the canvas.
It’s much bigger than my usual work, the size is 40x50 cm! But after just a few stitch, I realized that it’s impossible to follow the numbers, and there is no clear outline. So I ended up drawing again... I didn’t like the result of 2 strands, so I used 1 strand only, and obviously I’m torturing myself by doing so. 😂 There are so many stitches to make, even though I change to use longer stitches, still took me 16 days to finish this, working day and night...
Although it’s not as detailed as my usual work, I’m pretty satisfied with the final result.

Stitches used: needle painting, long & short stitch, satin stitch, French knot, outline stitch.
Time to make : about 180 hours
Fabric: Stretched canvas size 40x50 cm
Thread: Cotton thread 1 strand
