Before you jump into studying for the CompTIA Security+ certification, make sure you have the right foundation. In this vlog I talk about why learning basic computer skills first can make your IT journey much smoother—especially if you’re coming from a non-technical background like I was.
I go over the types of fundamentals that helped me understand cybersecurity concepts faster and avoid frustration early on. Security+ is a great certification, but without the basics, it can feel overwhelming.
If you’re thinking about getting into IT, cybersecurity, or studying for CompTIA Security+, this is the advice I wish I had before starting.
