When Chronic Illness Changes Your Body (and How I Cope)

Описание: Living with chronic illness isn’t just about symptoms. A huge part of it is learning to deal with the way our bodies change in ways we can’t control. This video dives into the often unspoken feelings of shame and embarrassment that can come from living with a chronic illness.

In this video, I talk openly about some of the body changes I’ve experienced, like:
Weight gain from hypothyroidism, limited mobility, and prednisolone
Moon face and facial/body changes from medication
Hair thinning and loss
Struggling with things like staying in pyjamas, or not being able to shower often

I also share some of the ways I’ve learned to cope with these changes and be kinder to myself, like choosing pyjamas that feel like leisurewear, using practical tools like wet wipes, embracing comfy clothes (yes, including my giant unicorn oodie!), and learning to prioritise my wellbeing over what others might think.
