Donkey Kong Country - The Arena Rivals (Closed Demo version) | Nimaginendo Games 2025

Описание: My latest "Donkey Kong Country" project, which combines two other projects into one. The final boss from the beta version of Kiddy Kong's Showtime mixed with the fan game "Donkey Kong Land - Battle Rematch" by GBFAN45. This is "Donkey Kong Country - The Arena Rivals", a kind of "boss rush" that's a little different from the usual. The game's intention is to bring back the bosses from the 3 Donkey Kong Country games from the SNES (Super Nintendo/Super NES) and more... but with different details: it's a fighting arena, the bosses have trained new moves and attacks so that Donkey Kong can't beat them.

The first person to play it was CorumbaPlay (Pablo) and the second Donkey Kong Country TV (Roberto), as a closed demo. And in this video I'm playing the same version they played. There's still a lot to do.

Story:
Donkey Kong once again had his bananas kidnapped by King K. Rool, but this time, the reptile challenges the gorilla to a fight with his allies. The deal is that only Donkey Kong can fight. He accepts the challenge and meets up with old enemies from the past. If Donkey Kong climbs the tower to the last room, where the master arena is, he will confront King K. Rool to get his precious bananas back.

What's new
This will be a very short and quick project, but it will be fun for Donkey Kong fans. Being (and being) the first game with translations into other languages, for the first time "Brazilian Portuguese" will be present in a project from the Mario and Donkey Kong universe of the Nimaginendo fan games. It will probably also be the first to have Spanish.

Improvements to the physics of previous games
As some of you know, I use the same technique I use to make my Mario projects, for example, I used Super Mario Advance 5 to help with several other Mario projects I have. In this one I used the source engine "Donkey Kong Land Engine" by GBFan45, which was already DK vs. K. Rool Challenge (Donkey Kong Land vs. K. Rool Challenge), Kiddy Kong's Challenge and Kiddy Kong's Showtime (still in development).

Fun facts about the fan game
It was planned to be just the K. Rool battle.
It was planned to be 3 K. Rool battles with the KST battle last.
When it became "The Arena Rivals" it was going to be Kiddy Kong instead of Donkey Kong, but since he is not a very popular character in the series he was replaced by Donkey Kong.
I was going to start the project with Diddy Kong instead of him, but this one came instead, with Diddy being considered as a playable character but the idea was scrapped.
The game would not have combos, but to avoid being boring, I added them.
"Donkey Kong Country Arena Fighters", "Donkey Kong Country Battle Rematch", "Donkey Kong Country Kremarena" were names considered but ended up with "Donkey Kong Country - The Arena Rivals".

The project is planned to be released in 2025, this same year, but there are no exact release dates.
