Stephen R. Stanley is the first person to have won in both Writers of the Future and Illustrators of the Future Contests.
He won the Writers of the Future Contest 2005 (volume 21) for his story, "Mars Hath No Fury Like a Pixel Double-Crossed." Then in 2008 he entered the stage again to accept his award as an Illustrators of the Future winner for volume 24.
The annual L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future awards ceremony took place in Hollywood, California this year with the esteemed judges of the contest honoring the winners. The contest is for both new writers and new illustrators and is one of the most acclaimed writers contest and illustrators contest in the field of science fiction and fantasy.
