(25 Feb 2019) At least two bodies have been recovered from a three-story building that collapsed in an eastern suburb of the southern port city of Karachi, according to a Pakistani rescue official
Rescue workers were searching for survivors on Monday after a small residential building collapsed as construction work was underway next to it in the city's Malir neighbourhood.
Four injured, including a woman and two children, have been rescued, according to the resuce official.
He said rescue workers and volunteers are searching for more people. The narrowness of the street is preventing them from bringing in more heavy equipment.
Lack of implementation of safety regulations and shoddy construction often cause such incidents in Pakistan.
