Описание: Today I take a nice stroll in Fukuoka City through Hakata and Tenjin. I begin at a small Buddhist temple called Saikyoji (西教寺). Our final destination is a popular park in Tenjin called Kego Park. Here you can see many kids playing, people on their lunch break, or those who are taking a rest from shopping at the luxury mall nearby (Mitsukoshi Tenjin Department Store). Here you can find big brands such as Coach, Fendi, and Tiffany & Co.

Tenjin is one of the most popular downtown areas in all of Kyushu. Throughout Tenjin, you can find brand name stores along with big appliance, department, and drug stores. In Tenjin, you will also find places of leisure. Tenjin has many parks that offer a place to take a break and enjoy the city atmosphere. You will see many people relaxing and enjoying their time outside! If you turn down an unexpected path or decide to take a small detour throughout your trip in Tenjin, you can also find pieces of Fukuoka's history.

Hakata-ku (博多区) is a ward of the city of Fukuoka in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Many of Fukuoka Prefecture and Fukuoka City's principal government, commercial, retail, and entertainment establishments are located in the district. Hakata is also the location of Fukuoka's main train station, Hakata Station, Fukuoka Airport, and the Hakata Port international passenger ship terminal.

Hakata is one of the oldest cities in Japan. In the Middle Ages, Hakata was a base for merchants who traded with China and Korea, and the city housed Japan's first Chinatown. Hakata was burned down by many wars, including the Mongol invasions.

Some famous foods include mentaiko, tonkatsu (pork bone) ramen (Hakata ramen), motsunabe, mizutaki, Hakata torimon (a type of cake), and tsukemen. Popular festivals include Hakata Dontaku Minato Matsuri (May 3 and 4), Hakata Gion Yamakasa (July 1 to 15), and Hakata O-kunchi (October 23 and 24).
