Arpit shares the importance of taking opportunities when life presents you with one. Being curious, and investing yourself in things that do not entitle you to monetary benefits, is also a part of your journey. He describes Barcamp and how this event played a crucial role in his career.

Being an engineer, Arpit did not like to do stuff in detail; that’s where he decided to get into big picture stuff, which paved his path to an MBA and the reason behind choosing IIT Bombay. He also explains why the startup world was challenging to explore during the 2000s as the internet wasn’t as fast as the current generation.

He was also involved in the Tech event, which enabled students from Indian universities to display and commercialize their technology products to the market. Some of the products inspired Arpit even to start his own company called Academic Ventures, which focused on the exact purpose of commercializing products into the market.
