Woodturners Will Cringe at What I Did to This Walnut

Описание: A perfect walnut turning blank and…I took an axe to it.
Sometimes destruction is part of creation.
I split the walnut into three pieces on purpose, creating natural fault lines and dramatic cracks and let the resin flow
The result is a piece that captures strength, fracture, and beauty all in one form.
I was just able to avoid serious injury. Next week I’ll be sharing something important that happened during this turning session — and the safety lessons that came from it.
