PM Shehbaz Sharif & President Zardari Receive Uzbek President at Nur Khan Airbase

Описание: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, arrived in Pakistan on a two-day state visit, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan–Uzbekistan relations.

Upon arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, the Uzbek President was accorded a red carpet welcome and warmly received by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari. The visit comes at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and reflects the growing momentum in diplomatic, economic, and regional cooperation between the two countries.

President Mirziyoyev is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including senior cabinet ministers and prominent business leaders, underscoring Uzbekistan’s strong interest in expanding trade, investment, connectivity, and people-to-people ties with Pakistan.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar were also present at the airport reception.

During the visit, the leadership of Pakistan and Uzbekistan is expected to hold comprehensive discussions aimed at deepening strategic cooperation, enhancing regional connectivity, and unlocking new economic opportunities.

This visit reinforces Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Central Asian states and advancing regional peace, prosperity, and integration.
