In *Suds*, Season 1 Episode 15b of *SpongeBob SquarePants*, SpongeBob wakes up after leaving his refrigerator open overnight and develops the “suds,” a fictional sponge illness that makes him sneeze bubbles all over Bikini Bottom. Determined not to miss work, he heads to the Krusty Krab but is sent home by Mr. Krabs after his symptoms worsen. Patrick tries to “treat” him with bizarre home remedies that only escalate the chaos until Sandy arrives and insists SpongeBob see a real doctor, who prescribes the “sponge treatment” that ultimately cures him and earns him a giant lollipop, much to Patrick’s jealous reaction when he fakes symptoms himself.
