Carp fishing in the height of summer can be challenging for various reasons. Choosing the right venue is paramount if you're to get the most out of your session. With that in mind I decided to pay a visit to the lovely Picks Cottage fishery. A well looked after complex made up of four stunning lakes, with one in particular catching my attention. A beautiful, clear, weedy, intimidate little pond with a ridiculous stock of carp. It's not very often I fish day ticket lakes so I was really excited to see how this trip would unfold.
