You don't hate traffic.
You hate people getting in your way.
When you get in your car, you expect traffic. Bad drivers, slow drivers, the person cruising in the fast lane like they've got nowhere to be. And what's worse than cars? Bicyclists. Joggers. Random pedestrians who somehow appear exactly when you're trying to get somewhere.
I will avoid traffic if possible and take the route with less people even if it takes longer.
If we're honest, the ideal drive would be an open road with no one else on it and then arrive at the store with no people in your way or lines to wait in.
But here's the problem:
If no one else is on the road or in the store, why are you?
If there are no people, there's no line at your favorite restaurant, but there's also no one to unlock the doors, seat you, cook your food, or bring you your endless breadsticks.
People are the inconvenience, and people are the entire point.
It's the same in business. You need people: paying customers. employees, vendors, and partners, and early on in your business journey, you'll struggle to define who your right people are, because not all traffic is good traffic.
In this video, I'll share:
✅ Why people are both the inconvenience and the entire point
✅ Friends who want heavy discounts vs. strangers who become lifelong friends
✅ High-maintenance customers who expect more than they're paying for
✅ Customers who treated me like I could do no wrong (and others who thought I could do nothing right)
✅ Why the "pedestrians in the road" pay for your kid's shoes, braces, and groceries
✅ How people refine your systems, expose weaknesses, and help you discover solutions

People slow you down. People are annoying. But without people, there is no destination worth going to.
