UP: Samajwadi Party Leader Dies After 1,000 Kg Lighting Pole Crashes On SUV In Pratapgarh

Описание: A tragic accident in the Antu area of Pratapgarh claimed the life of Samajwadi Party leader Lal Bahadur Yadav when a 1,000-kg high mast lighting pole fell on his moving car. The incident occurred around 1 pm near Babuganj market, in front of a petrol pump, while workers were installing the pole. Eyewitnesses said the pole suddenly lost balance and crushed Yadav’s Hyundai Creta, leaving him no chance to react. Yadav, 47, a former Nagar Panchayat candidate, PWD contractor, and liquor license holder, was driving towards the city. Police rushed to the site, sent the body for post-mortem, and registered an FIR. Locals expressed outrage over alleged negligence and raised safety concerns regarding installation work.
