MSFS 2024 • Ofoten Scenic Tour | Highligting my high trees removal mod

Описание: This flight in MSFS 2024 focuses on one area, the Ofoten in northern Norway (Nordland), flying from decommissioned Narvik airport to around Ofoten, finally landing at Evenes Airport.

I made this video with the purpose of showing the mod I created and uploaded to flightsim.to, correcting the simulator's tendency to place trees too high on mountains. You can download the mod for free — only membership is required.

At the beginning you also see my addon titled "Narvik City Center" at flightsim.to. It's a Google Maps port to the sim. I wouldn't necessarily fly very low above this scenery but from some 500 feet and upwards it looks quite good. (The LOD range is 17–20.)

I also use MSFS Map Enhancement Tool which is free to download from the same site. It uses the most upto-date satellite imagery from Bing Maps.

Unfortunately there are a lot of artefacts (missing textures and deep shadows) around Norway's north which can also be seen here. Let's hope new satellite imagery will soon be available.

The aircraft used on the longer flight is Hawker Sea Fury from DSD Simulations (freebie but very nice).
