Описание: Grignard reagents can be used as the nucleophilic partner in coupling reactions. Coupling reactions that use a Grignard reagent are called Kumada couplings. Sometimes other types of organometallic reagents work better depending on the specific reaction. Grignard reagents can react with ZnBr2 to make an organozinc reagent. Using organozinc reagents in a coupling is called the Negishi coupling. Grignard reagents can react with ClSnMe3 to make an organotin reagent. Using organotin reagents in a coupling is called a Stille coupling. Grignard reagetns can react with B(OMe)3 to make an organoboron reagent. Organoboron reagents are used in Suzuki couplings. Any reaction that replaces one metal for another is called a transmetallation. Through the transmetallation reactions described above, Grignard (organomagnesium) reagents can be converted to other organometallics.
