Márcio Guerra, a 63-year-old journalist who, with his partner, decided to adopt young Phellipe three years ago. In addition to late adoption, Márcio reflects on the discoveries of entering fatherhood in old age.
“LGBT+60: Bodies that Resist” is a journalistic documentary/web series that narrates the inspiring stories of LGBT+ elderly people in Brazil. In January 2024, the third season premiered focusing on the achievements and celebrations of five real characters who live in an LGBTphobic and ageist society. It also portrays testimonies that refer to struggle and resistance — with memories of the Brazilian military dictatorship and the height of the AIDS epidemic — they talk, intimately and sensitively, about the pains and delights of experiences lived over more than six decades.
