If turning your head feels stiff, pinchy, or uneven, it may not be a flexibility issue.
It may be a control issue.
This cervical rotation isometric teaches you how to:
• Rotate around a true axis
• Avoid bending or drifting into extension
• Build even engagement around all sides of the neck
• Improve mid-range strength and tolerance
Key cues:
– Stay in mid-range
– Do not gradually drift into the position
– Resist evenly with both hands
– Think “spin around a stick through the top of your head”
Start around 10–20% effort.
Build gradually.
Mobility improves when control improves.
If symptoms are sharp, radiating, or worsening, seek medical evaluation.
