Our first few visits to Barcelona felt meh. It felt like it was overcrowded, overpriced, and just… kind of stressful. But this time we did things differently, and it completely changed our minds.
Here’s what made the difference:
🍴 Booking a food tour: we finally discovered Catalan dishes we’d never heard of before thanks to our local guide
🧠 Knowing how to avoid pickpockets (don’t leave your phone on the table), but also not letting the thought of pickpockets literally ruin our trip
🛏️ Staying outside the Gothic Quarter. Our hotel in Eixample was a game-changer. Highly recommend staying at Best Western Premier Hotel Dante. We always love a good, reliable Best Western!
🎟️ Booking Sagrada Familia + Park Güell in advance + anything else you really want to see in advance. Things really do sell out
