This 45-minute upper body strength workout is designed for women over 40 who want to build muscle, feel strong, and move with confidence at any fitness level. The workout focuses on biceps, triceps, and chest, with shoulders and core work woven in using effective, joint-friendly supersets.
You’ll need dumbbells. I’m using 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, and 20 lb weights, but you can absolutely do this workout with just 2–3 weight options by adjusting reps and tempo to match your body.
We keep the pace steady, include rest and stretch breaks throughout, and prioritize good form so you can challenge yourself without overtraining. This is a full-length, follow-along strength session that supports muscle tone, bone health, and everyday strength as we age.
