The History of Sinterklaas | PJK

Описание: Hey hello lovely human being! 🙋‍♀️ Welcome and thank you for stopping by. My name is Phylicia Joy Kloes, and in this video I share my research on the history of Sinterklaas. In the Netherlands, people celebrate Saint Nicolas and this celebration is mainly aimed towards children; however, Saint Nicolas actually did exist. I talk about how the celebration changed throughout the years, share the racist turns taken, and I end the video with how it's celebrated nowadays.

PS. I mention showing you how I celebrate Sinterklaas with the 4-6 year-olds in class; however, since the perfectionist in me isn't happy about the footage captured and all the materials have been put away already, I'll be planning on redoing it next year. I hope you understand!
