Описание: Some moments arrive quietly and still manage to stop you in your tracks. Watching a child discover words is like that—small on the surface, yet filled with gratitude when you realize how much is unfolding right before you.

Lainey has been picking up new words every day, and it never fails to surprise us. Not just during flashcards, but in ordinary moments when she suddenly names something we didn’t expect her to know yet. This video wasn’t planned at all. I simply sat down with her, mostly hoping to capture one sweet moment—Lainey confidently calling her sandwich “pizza” because it was cut into a triangle. (And honestly, that made perfect sense.)

Before I could even suggest it, Lainey reached for the flashcards herself, eager to go through them. As we went through them, each card became a small triumph. When Big Bird appeared, she said his name immediately—no pause, no second thought. Just days earlier, she had been learning to say it, so hearing her say it like that… well, it made me so proud. Then came Rosita. To my genuine surprise, Lainey didn’t just recognize her… she almost said her name, softly and proudly calling her “Sita.” It was one of those moments that fills your heart before your mind can catch up.

Rosita and Zoe still get mixed up sometimes—and truthfully, I had to relearn the difference myself, reminding myself that one is orange and the other is light blue. Learning works in its own time, a bit unpredictable, but always full of little moments that make it worth it. With a little more time, she’ll know every card. For now, we’re simply grateful—grateful for these small victories, for her growing mind, and for the joy of watching understanding bloom right before us.
