Hello, I’m Karen Case, founder of The 3-20 Way — and I’m really glad you’re here.
In this short session we focus on one of the most important skills for maintaining independence as we age — balance.
The single leg balance exercise challenges your body to stabilise while standing on one leg. This helps strengthen the muscles around the hips, knees and ankles while improving coordination and body awareness.
Practising balance regularly can help improve confidence when walking, turning and moving through everyday activities.
This session lasts just three minutes and includes three short rounds with a brief pause between each round, allowing you to practise balance safely and improve at your own pace.
The movement is simple, controlled and designed to be achievable whether you are returning to exercise or simply want to maintain mobility, stability and independence. Even a few minutes of balance work can make a meaningful difference when done consistently.
