Mani Puttu, a Sri lankan steamed breakfast recipe made from steam wheat flour and rice flour. In Sri lanka, this puttu is mainly served as breakfast and is sometimes served as dinnertoo. I served it today with tripe curry. Beef tripe (the stomachs of the cow) are most commonly used in recipes. Tripe is extremely nutritious! It is low in fat and high in protein. Babath is a traditional curry from Sri Lanka. Try this healthy srilankan mani puttu and tripe curry.

Ingredients for the curry:
Babath (tripe)300g
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Coconut oil 3 tbsp
Cumin seed 1/2 tsp
Sliced onion 2
Ginger Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Green chilli 2
Curry leaves
Cinnamon sticks 3-4
Cardamom pods 4
Tomato 1
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Beef with bone 400g
Pepper powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Curry powder 2 tsp
Water
Coriander leaves
For the mani puttu:
Steamed wheat flour 2 1/2 cup
Rice flour 3/4 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Boiling water
Shredded coconut a few tbsp
