Описание: Saad Usmani, MD, FACP, from the Levine Cancer Institute, Charlotte, NC, speaks about why he uses social media to engage with patients and other healthcare professionals at the 2017 World Congress on Controversies in Multiple Myeloma (COMy) in Paris, France. He explains his initial concerns about using social media, particularly patient privacy and the possibility of misunderstanding someone’s tone. Dr Usmani speaks about how he became involved in the discussion of research questions and data on social media, as well as learning about patient and caregiver experiences which can move the field forward.
