Catholic Night Prayers:
Heavenly Father, my day is drawing to an end, and I'm ready to take my rest.

But before I do, I want to thank You for the many graces You have sent me this day. It's always a good day, even when things may not go the way I plan or when the world seems in chaos, because it is You who are in control, not I.

For all the times I was aware of Your help today, for all the times Your unseen presence seemed so near, I thank You, my Gracious God.

And for all the ways You worked behind the scenes, unknown to me, moments when Your angels moved on my behalf in ways I'll never know,
thank You, my Savior Lord.

For all those times I have disappointed You, Lord, today or in days gone by, I pray to you for forgiveness:

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee; and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more, to do good, and to avoid the near occasion of sin, Amen.

As I close my eyes tonight, I pray for the loved ones around me, for friends and for those who need to know you, Lord.

I pray for those who do not pray, for all so urgently in need of repentance and conversion. I pray that Your love, like the billions of stars in the night sky outside, will touch them and help them see who You really are.

I pray for Your holy Church, Lord, for the good shepherds you have sent to guide us. Protect it always from the attacks of Satan and his minions. Keep it true to its traditional values.

I pray for our world and for all those in it. I pray for my Nation, may it never stray from the Christian roots upon which it was founded. Our Lady, Queen of the Americas, pray for us in these tumultuous times.

And finally, Lord, I pray for a good night's sleep that I may awake refreshed and ready to begin another day loving You.

May Your Divine Love bathe my home and family with lasting peace and safety against the enemy, Amen.
