Another day is done. Thank You, Lord.
Thank You for all Your blessings received this day, for trials endured, for graces received, for the people You have sent into our lives.
We now offer these prayers before sleep at night.
From the Daily Offices, Compline.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend the sick, Lord Jesus, and give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous, and all for Your love’s sake. Amen
Prayer of St. Gertrude
At one time, when St. Gertrude the Great was having trouble sleeping, she turned to Jesus and asked for His help.
This is the prayer He taught her.
“I beseech Thee, O Most Merciful God, by the most tranquil sweetness with which Thou has reposed from all eternity in the bosom of the Father, by Thy peaceful abode of nine months in the womb of a virgin, and by all the holy delights which Thou has ever enjoyed in souls filled by Thy love, to grant me some rest, not for my own satisfaction, but for Thy eternal glory, in order that the strength of my wearied body may be restored and I may be able to fulfill my duties. Amen.:
Evening Prayer of Saint Alphonsus Liguori.
Jesus Christ my God, I adore You and thank You for all the graces You have given me this day.
I offer you my sleep and all the moments of this night, and I ask You to keep me from sin.
I put myself within Your sacred side and under the mantle of our Lady.
Let your holy angels stand about me and keep me in peace.
And let your blessing be upon me. Amen.

Lord, easy my mind of all troubles, fears and cares.
I entrust them all to you.

St. Michael Prayer
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satin and all the evil spirits who prowl throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
Guardian Angel Prayer.
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love, commits me here. Ever this day, be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no more, to do good and avoid evil. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
