The DMK stated that the Governor in Tamil Nadu, R.N. Ravi, 'who holds the constitutional position, time and again deliberately makes politically motivated decisions, thereby tarnishing the dignity of his position'. The opinion reverses an April 2025 judgment that had imposed a three-month timeline and declared the concept of 'deemed assent' to be alien to the Constitution. The court clarified that while the actions of a Governor are not justiciable, courts can issue directions in cases of prolonged inaction.
