In this practice which highlights DHYANA or meditation, the 7th of the 8 Branches of Hatha Yoga, you’ll be guided through five mudras (gestures) that represent the five elements of earth, water, fire, air, and space. An optional arts activity is offered at the end to create a collage, painting, or other form of visual art or poetry piece to represent each of the five elements, and to further sense into the medicine of each of the elements for you personally in your life at this moment.
Mudras are inspired by the book “Yoga and the Art of Mudras” written by Suraya’s teacher Nubia Teixeira.
