This is the second of many videos I'm going to be uploading documenting the drum parts from the new Fall In Archaea record 'Aura Magenta'. This is also the 'Video debut' of my brand new Pearl Reference Pure kit in Matte Walnut; hands down the nicest looking and sounding kit I've ever owned.

My goal with this video series is to keep it as real as possible, IE all live audio, no quantizing, no sample-replacement, no flashy camera tricks. There may be some minor flubs as a result, but hey, I'm only human ;)

"Anxiety" was always my favourite song from 2011's 'Gatherings' EP to play live, so when Mike brought up the idea of updating and re-recording it for Aura Magenta, I was all for it. We kept the arragenment of the song the same, but made a lot of subtle changes to the individual sections, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out. Trying out a new camera angle this time too, let me know what you think!

1:04 - 1:30 Crash/China accents complementing the guitar rhythym
2:00 - 16th note triplet fill phrased in groupings of eight
2:35 - 2:48 - Tricky section consisting of some Alternate Blasts and quick 16th note triplet fill to exit
2:48 - 3:08 - Fast 32nd note kick bursts interwoven with ghost notes
