Cradle Mountain: A Paradise of Wildlife & Stunning Views
Our second and final day at Cradle Mountain began early in the morning and it was quite cold outside. After getting ready, we headed to the hotel restaurant for breakfast.
We enjoyed a buffet breakfast with lots of choices. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing exactly what we needed to start the day right.
After checking out, we stepped next door into the art gallery, and right at the entrance, a massive handmade art piece stopped us in our tracks. It was bold, creative, and instantly eye-catching. The gallery also had a gift shop, where we picked up a few souvenirs.
Inside, the gallery was filled with stunning photographs of Cradle Mountain, unique stone collections, and beautiful paintings by artists from different backgrounds. Every room told a different story, and we could have spent hours just admiring the details.
Our next stop was the Tasmanian Devil Centre. Just a short drive away, we arrived in cold, rainy weather but nothing could stop our excitement. We grabbed our tickets, which were $15 per person, and joined the tour, ready for an unforgettable experience.
We had amazing time exploring credle mountain Our visit to Devil@Cradle was unforgettable we joined a guided tour and got to see the Tasmanian devils up close while learning about their conservation. The tour lasted about an hour and a half and was absolutely worth it. Our guide shared amazing stories and information throughout. Seeing the Tasmanian devils up close and learning about their lives was truly incredible raw, wild, and unforgettable.
After that, we hit the road toward Tasmazia, about a 40-minute drive from Cradle Mountain. Along the way, we stopped at Lake Cethana Lookout, where the views completely took our breath away. Mountains, water, and silence moments like these make the journey special.
Arriving at Tasmazia felt like stepping into another world. The place looked amazing from the outside, and once inside, the adventure truly began. We bought our entry tickets, $34 per person, grabbed a guide map, and jumped straight into the maze.
We wandered through twists and turns, solving puzzles and enjoying the beautiful scenery around every corner.
The maze was fun, challenging, and full of surprises. Along the way, we discovered small statues representing different countries from around the world. We searched for one from Nepal, but sadly, there wasn’t one. Still, getting lost in the maze turned into one of the most exciting moments of the day.
We spent nearly two hours exploring, laughing, and creating unforgettable memories. Before leaving, we stopped by the gift shop one last time, bought some souvenirs and then began our journey back to Hobart.
This trip was more than just travel it was about experiences, memories, and moments we’ll never forget.
