How To Protect Yourself From Narcissists

Self-aware narcissists are all the rage lately on social media and oftentimes their presentation of NPD is very misleading, which leads to chaos and confusion. What we cannot afford to forget, especially as victims and survivors of narcissistic abuse, is that narcissists are dangerous and they are mentally sick. Whenever anyone is engaged in a relationship with someone with narcissistic personality disorder, there is abuse on every level - mental, emotional, material, physical, (possibly) sexual, (possibly) and spiritual/energetic. Narcissists are a danger to peoples health and lives and this is a fact that is not to be forgotten.

To quote from Professor Vaknin, "harden your heart" when dealing with narcissists, because narcissists will prey upon your empathy, love and kindness and see it as a weakness to exploit. As much as we may love a narcissist, we must always stay hyper-vigilant and aware of who and what they are. They are not like you and the moment you start treating them like they are, you will leave yourself wide open for attack. So take Prof Vaknin's advice, and harden your heart. It's for your own protection.
